How sad that this book is out of print. It is a very good translation of the original - I have read both the Russian and the English versions, and can testify that translator did a fantastic job.

This remarkable book introduces the reader to the world of the time of Christ as if we are entering into it ourselves. To say Christ comes alive in this book is an understatement.
